The big day came on Thursday, October 17, 2013!!
We had anticipated the arrival of our mission call for a couple of weeks, so it was an exciting day when the big envelope was in the mail box. It was a perfect day: Drew had come to play with Owen, so who better to help see if it was there than two prospective missionaries. They're a little young, but soon enough they'll be getting their own calls in the mail.
Little Rockwell needed to have his picture taken with the mission call, too! Even though he's only six, almost seven months old, it's never too early to see what the envelope looks like!
Our children and grandchildren gathered for the opening of our call. One grandson wasn't able to be there, and three more are serving missions, but we still had a crowd.
This was our first official gathering with our whole family since we moved in on August 10, 2013, and we filled the family room!!!
